On Thursday, February 14, 2013, the San Francisco Association of REALTORS® implemented a subdistrict
boundary change on the MLS for the boundary that separates SOMA (9f), South Beach (9h), and Mission
Bay (9d). The revision was made to reflect the actual commercial boundaries of Mission Bay as well as
the city's understanding of this neighborhood. The northwest boundary of Mission Bay (9d) moved one
block from Townsend to King St. between 4th St. and 7th St. The boundary then travels northwest on
4th St. up to Townsend and then southeast along 3rd St. to China Basin.
All listings in the MLS were automatically reassigned on that date to their new subdistricts, where
applicable.
Map inserts describing the change will be included with all MLS map purchases made after February
14th until new MLS maps are printed. Additionally, map collateral is being made available to SFAR
members to use in printed materials as well as on their websites at the links below.
We hope you find the new changes useful in your business.
