Our Association stayed incredibly busy and active this month! 

First and foremost, after two years of hard work, we have finally launched the RISE Grant & Mentorship Program! I want to thank SFAR’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee for all of their time and dedication to bring this initiative to life and give back to our Realtor® community. When I first started in real estate, I had a champion and mentor. I know firsthand how much of a difference it can make. We’re accepting applications for RISE through August 31st. RISE could not be possible without the help of our Realtor® brokerage community and we are asking for additional sponsors to help underwrite the financial grant RISE cohort members will receive to cover essential real estate expenses. Gant Properties is a sponsor, along with Sequoia Real Estate and SFAR’s Chief Technology Officer, Jay Pepper-Martens. If you have not already taken our 2022 San Francisco Broker Tour Survey, I encourage you to do so! We need your feedback on important changes we are considering for the Broker Tour! The survey takes under 5 minutes. Click here. 

On the political front, our Government Affairs Committee is looking ahead to a long ballot in November. There may be as many as ten local ballot measures, with many focused on housing. We are committed to educating and informing you on positions which are favorable to real estate. Watch for our November 2022 SFAR Voter Guide to come! 

Finally, we’ve had a ton of virtual webinars in recent months (see our library of video recordings) so we are thrilled to be bringing SFAR members together in-person for the 2022 Member Appreciation Day / EXPO on Monday, October 3rd from 9:00 - 5:30 p.m. at the San Francisco Marriott Marquis! As in past years, this is a FREE event and we’re lining up strong speakers, vendors, and networking sessions to strengthen your real estate business in San Francisco - alongside a continental breakfast, delicious lunch and fun cocktail reception. We are also currently working to get a panel line up that will speak about the current state of real estate in the city. You don't want to miss this! Mark your calendar! It is hard to believe that more than half of 2022 has already passed. Stay tuned for more good things planned by your Association!
